Habitat Creation
Significant naturally-occurring tree hollows can take up to 100 years to form. These hollows accommodate many bats, mammals and birds. Old growth trees that house these hollows are disappearing In the urban environment due to development yet are essential to the survival of many animal species.
If you love your trees and are an avid wildlife advocate, we are happy to consult, supply and install nesting boxes in your trees to supplement habitat in your area. Dead or dying trees can be utilised in the housing of local fauna also. Pruning out lateral branch length and sculpting hollows into the tree can be done turning a “dead tree” into a habitat tree that nurtures life.
