About Us

Focus Tree Care director, Sam Vass, has been involved in tree works and Arboriculture for over 10 years. He began his career working at ‘Happy’s Firewood Business’, cutting, splitting and delivering firewood to central Victoria and Melbourne.

Around this time, Sam observed some tree climbers leaping around the canopy of a 200-year-old redgum at a local farm, igniting his curiosity and passion for arboriculture and all things trees.

Whilst completing studies in Arboriculture, Sam worked for a Melbourne-based tree company, servicing high-end commercial clients, universities and inner-city residential homes.

During these formative years as a working Arborist, Sam developed his skill sets in tree health, tree pruning and confined space removals under life-long teachers, friends and mentors.
